On Tuesday, March 3rd, 2015, PetPrints 3D hosted their first ever Pawtnership Breakfast and it was a great success! Some of the best pet-related businesses in Etobicoke, Toronto, Mississauga and beyond attended, from pet bloggers, to doggy daycares to photographers to groomers.
The goal: to introduce ourselves to other pet lovers and allow for some petworking. We wanted to start a conversation about pets and about 3D printing. We like to talk about memories.
We are all about relationships: the relationship we have with our pets; the relationships we have with each other here at PetPrints 3D; and the relationships we can forge and strengthen with other pet-related businesses. The idea of networking is so important to us, as a small business, because all business, even if you’re Disney or Apple, is a learning process.
The morning started off with some chit-chat and a short “introduce yourself” segment, followed closely by an explanation of who we are and why we do what we do. We finished off the morning with some insider info on 3D printing and a short Q&A session. Attendees also received a short presentation on customer engagement to take back to their own businesses and hopefully improve their own techniques.
Something that really stood out for us in our guest speaker Cathy Pettigrew’s teachings is the idea about offering more to our new and existing clients. We’ve spent a lot of time thinking about this in the last day and a half. Directly related to differentiating yourself from the pack, we love the idea of being able to help our pawtners and friends offer their clients more. Just because your product offering is a bit different, doesn’t mean you shouldn’t strive to do more; we feel very strongly that customization is our answer to that, as well as lasting memories. You aren’t buying a 3D printed model; you’re buying a captured memory. You are buying a form of immortalization.
Overall, we are excited to announce that our wonderful guests seemed as excited about PetPrints 3D and 3D printing in general as we are. We hope to have many more of these Petworking events in the future. We also want to hear your thoughts! Is Petworking something you think is a good idea? Would you attend one of our future events?
