About Us
About the Models
Our full colour, 3D printed models are made up of a sandstone-gypsum specialty blend and are 100% customizable. Does your pet do that cute little thing where they cock their head or shake a paw? Are they a well-styled fashionista that is often seen flaunting a frilly pink skirt? Are their colouring and fur patterns just too beautiful for words?
3D printing, combined with an artist’s passion for art allows us to capture moments and memories in beautiful 3D-printed pieces. Only pet owners truly understand the sacred bond that forms between an owner and their pet. With a physical model, you can admire the tiny folds in their ears and little smiles. Remember them forever as only you saw them. We will take your photographs and turn them into realistic replicas of your beloved pet. Whether your pet is living or has passed on, the models help capture the true essence of what makes them special and allows you to immortalize them in a very distinctive way.
How it works – from concept to completion
Step 1: An artist creates a 3D design; such as a digital sculpt of an animal or a prototype for a machine part.
Step 2: He/she uploads a print file to a designated location.
Step 3: The computer sends the information to a 3D printer.
Step 4: The 3D printer starts laying down material (lots of different mixtures are available) one layer at a time until a three-dimensional “thing” begins to develop.
Step 5: Once the printer has finished making the shape (several hours, often overnight) and time has been allotted for “curing” (sitting there!) the item is removed from the print bed.
Step 6: Surface powder is then removed from the product to ensure proper colour shows through, and then treated through our state-of-the-art finishing process.
Step 7: The final result is 3D-printed stuff! 3D printing technologies have been around for years, but the ways in which we use them are changing every day.
